Regardless, life goes on for the remaining Invincibles. Peter, still single, is finally getting ready to leave the family nest and fend for himself. Remy is holding on to his dreams of success with his band, Skydome. Steve, unsure of his own sexual orientation, is showing signs of depression. The friendship that held the group together has eroded since Carlos’ departure. They get together less often, and their conversations are less animated. Time has gone by and boredom has set in. 

But Carlos’ unexpected return changes everything. Reinvigorated by a mysterious quest, Carlos reunites his friends and injects new energy into the group by proposing a game – in the form of a rally – that will profoundly alter our superheroes’ lives. His return also stirs up complicated feelings in Lynn and in Jean, Carlos’ ex-therapist and also the mother of his child...
